Integrative Baby Therapy (IBT)

Listening to Babies Through Gentle Connection

Integrative Baby Therapy (IBT) is a gentle, body-based approach that helps babies and parents process the experiences surrounding birth and early life.

It recognises that even the youngest babies hold memories of how they arrived in the world and that these early experiences can shape how they feel, sleep, feed, and settle.
Through sensitive listening and light touch, I support babies and their parents to find comfort, safety, and connection.

Each session is an opportunity to slow down, observe your baby’s unique story, and respond with understanding and care.

What Happens During a Session

Babies communicate through movement, breath, and subtle body language. During sessions, I observe and respond to these signals, helping them release any tension or overwhelm held from birth or before.

Parents are fully involved. Together, we create a calm space where both baby and parent can relax and reconnect.

Often parents notice that their baby becomes more settled, sleeps more peacefully, and feeds with greater ease after sessions.

How IBT Supports Healing

IBT can help with:

  • Colic, reflux, or digestive discomfort

  • Feeding and latching challenges

  • Sleep difficulties

  • Tension in the body or neck after birth

  • Restlessness, irritability, or being easily startled

  • The emotional integration of birth experiences for both parent and baby

These sessions offer a nurturing way to support your baby’s physical and emotional well-being while strengthening your connection together.

Integrating IBT Into My Practice

Integrative Baby Therapy forms an important part of my Craniosacral work with babies and children.
Rather than being a separate treatment, it is woven into my Pregnancy, Parent & Baby and Children & Teenagers Craniosacral Therapy sessions.
This integration allows me to meet each family where they are, using whichever combination of skills best supports their healing and ease.

My IBT Training

I completed a two-year Integrative Baby Therapy training in April 2025.
This in-depth study deepened my understanding of early development, pre- and perinatal experiences, and how babies communicate their stories through their bodies.

It has become an essential part of how I support families in my clinic today.
